Molecular Life Sciences

A modern, molecular foundation for your career

We offer an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Life Sciences (MLS) jointly with the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry.

Created with the pre-professional in mind, the MLS degree will prepare you for graduate work, whether you plan to pursue medical school, dental school, or a Ph.D. in the life sciences.

Two concentrations available

For the first two years, you’ll focus on a selection of interdisciplinary courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math. In your junior year, you’ll select your preferred concentration: Molecular and Structural Biology or Developmental and Cellular Biology.

Advanced courses

As part of this degree, we have designed several 400-level Molecular Life Sciences courses that provide in-depth understanding of important cellular processes. These courses are open to all eligible students, not just MLS majors.
