Members of our department are committed to sharing their knowledge with the wider community. We do this through participating in seminars and exhibits, informational websites, working with the City of Bloomington on ecological issues such as invasive species and the local deer population, and participating in special programs for organizations like Science Olympiad, the Boys and Girls Club, the Girl Scouts, and the WonderLab Museum of Science, Health, and Technology.

We interact with educators of preschoolers through high school students. Regular programs are ongoing within local kindergarten and third-grade classrooms, and summer institutes that pair high-school teachers with Biology faculty.
