Three students from Indiana University College of Arts & Sciences' Department of Biology were selected by the National Science Foundation to receive awards through its Graduate Research Fellowship Program in 2021.

The NSF GRFP recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing full-time research-based master’s and doctoral degrees in NSF-supported STEM disciplines or in STEM education at accredited U.S. institutions. The five-year fellowship provides three years of financial support, including an annual stipend of $34,000 and a cost of education allowance of $12,000 to the institution.

This year's NSF GRFP recipients from the Department of Biology are Emma Boehm, Joshua A. Jones, and Abigail McClain.
