Former graduate student Erkin Kuru (Brun/VanNieuwenhze labs, PhD 2016) received IU's University Graduate School Distinguished PhD Dissertation Award for 2017 in the Biological Sciences category. He is now a postdoc at Harvard in George Church’s lab.
