EEB graduate students.
EEB graduate student award recipients (L-R from top): Kannenberg, Craig, George, Whitaker, Schwab, Keller, Gibson, Christian, Sylvia, Strauss, and Shoemaker.

The Evolution, Ecology, and Behavior Graduate Program at the IU Department of Biology is happy to announce the following awards received by our EEB graduate students. Congratulations to each of them!

Award recipients are:

Natalie Christian (Clay Lab) won a 2017 Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute/Simons Foundation Seed Grant (which is like a DDIG).

Matt Craig (Phillips Lab) won best student talk at the International Symposium on Soil Organic Matter in 2017 and the Best Student Presentation award from the Biogeosciences Section of the Ecological Society of America in 2016. He also received an NSF Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grant (2017) as well as a Smithsonian ForestGEO grant (like a DDIG).

Elizabeth George (Rosvall Lab) was awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.
