About the fellowship
This award is funded thanks to a bequest from Dr. Frederic A. Ogg, a political scientist from the University of Wisconsin, whose will created a botany scholarship honoring his father, William Ross Ogg (1851-1948), an IU groundskeeper. It is supplemented, as needed, by funds from a bequest from Dixie Westlake Floyd, the wife of Colonel Bayard Franklin Floyd, and one from Elizabeth Cleland, the spouse of Ralph Cleland. The award was formerly known as the Floyd/Ogg/Cleland Plant and Fungal Biology Final-Year Fellowship.)
