2021 Clark Scholar: Haiz Webb

Haiz Webb is a 4th-year student on a 5-year graduation plan pursuing dual B.S. degrees in biology and comprehensive design with minors in animal behavior, environmental science, and music as well as the Hutton Honors Notation.

While at IU, he has worked as a resident assistant and teaching assistant and completed research on green infrastructure with Associate Professor Heather Reynolds' lab through the Sustainability Scholars program. In addition to his experiences in biology and design, Haiz has been a part of the Jacobs School of Music Oratorio Chorus and University Chorale as well as the African American Choral Ensemble. Outside of classes, work, and extracurriculars, he also uses his expertise in academic advising to help his peers plan their degree objectives and class schedules.

After graduation, Haiz plans to take a gap year abroad teaching or studying before returning to school to pursue a master’s degree in landscape architecture with the ultimate goal of becoming a professor of practice in landscape architecture.
