Rich Holdeman

Holdeman is committed to science education—both teaching the process of science as well as the content. He has been teaching in the IU Department of Biology since 1997. Before that, he spent three years as a high school biology teacher.
His specialties are cell biology and genetics. In recent years Holdeman has enjoyed incorporating use of C. elegans as a model system to study human disease genes. He has also developed labs that allow students to do electron and fluorescence microscopy.
