Howard W. Clark Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Prudence L. Clark for the purpose of encouraging scholarship in botany, soil building, and plant breeding.

Eligiblility

Juniors or seniors with a declared major from the IUB Department of Biology who are interested in botany, soil building, and plant breeding.

Criteria

GPA of 3.3 or better.

Rachna Chaudhari, 2015 Howard W. Clark Scholar

Rachna Chaudhari is earning a B.S. in Biology. She conducts research in Sidney Shaw’s plant cell biology lab, studying microtubule organization in the Arabidopsis plant. Rachna is involved with a number of student groups at IU: she’s the advertising chair for the Minority Association for Pre-Medical Students, the media director for the Biotechnology Club, and is a member of the Indian Student Association. She plans to attend medical school and hopes to one day participate in the Doctors Without Borders program. Rachna also received the 2015-2016 Arlene Ferguson Internship at Hilltop Gardens.
