This scholarship was established in 2004 via a bequest from William G. Roessler, who earned a Ph.D. in Bacteriology from our department in 1950.
Roessler Microbiology Scholarship Requirements
Any graduate student from the IUB Department of Biology who is majoring in Microbiology and is in good academic standing.
This competitive award will be disbursed during the summer.
Award amounts vary from year to year. Most Department of Biology awards are between $500 and $3000; a few are larger.

Applications open on January 20, 2022, and close on March 7, 2022.
Application materials will include a minimum of your curriculum vitae and a letter of recommendation.
