Graam Fellowship Requirements

Dona G. Graam Fellowship

The Dona G. Graam Fellowship is the result of a bequest from Dona G. Graam to assist female graduate students in the IUB Department of Biology who are engaged in research work and/or as teaching assistants in zoology, providing support toward the payment of salaries as teaching or laboratory assistants. The fellowship is given out intermittently as funds accrue in the account.

Open to female graduate students who are in the IUB Department of Biology's Evolution, Ecology, and Behavior; Genome, Cell, and Developmental Biology; or Zoology graduate program and are engaged in research or teaching work in zoology. Must be eligible to enroll in G901.

Apply through One.IU

Search in One.IU for the “IU Scholarships” tile. The system will optimize opportunities by matching you to recommended awards.

To get started, you must initiate a general application by answering 7 required questions and electronically signing before submitting. The application contains many questions designed for undergraduate applicants to IU. Continuing undergraduate and graduate students need only complete the required pieces. The general application may be created at any time during the academic year.

To be considered for Biology awards, you must complete a Conditional Application after you have completed the general application. This application requires you to upload a current CV, a personal statement, and the email address of your advisor who will supply a letter of recommendation.

Some awards may require additional application materials to be submitted. IU Scholarships will notify you if you are eligible for awards that require an additional application.

Faculty/Postdoc Fellows: Student applicants provide the name and email address of the recommender as part of their scholarship/fellowship applications. Recommenders will receive an email notification from the IU awards application system with instructions for submitting letters of recommendation.
